225 lbs OHS

Working towards the ultimate goal of super coolness - 15 BW OHS.

Workout was 5x5 OHS.
Worked up to 198x5 (Old PR).
Only got 220 for 3 and 225 for 3 (balance was main issue on 220 so I shot the weight up). 225 was rough!

I'm 6'3" at 219, so 220x15 - here I come!

Re: 225 lbs OHS

Nice!

I managed 85 a while ago, but the equipment I have (standard barbell, no bumper plates, no squat stand or variant) makes it dangerous even to do that.

Re: 225 lbs OHS

Worked up to 215 x 5.
BW is 215. Shoulders were already shot from all the HSPU in warmups all this week. Rest of the body wasn't any better.

Re: 225 lbs OHS

Thank you Jay! Love the picture!

My shoulders are complete toast and got the 215 for five by pure agression.
Got 198 prior to that only for a triple.

Can't wait to train with you and Monique. Thinking about coming in early Thursday, train CF Thursday evening, Friday, then Coach B on Sat/Sunday, fly out Monday.

Nice job again on OHS, I guess your next feat of strength would be a strong Sots press !? Last weekend, Jerry Hill just whipped off a 95 LB barbell TGU like he was getting out of bed in the morning, damn you guys are strong. Shame I was a wuss in HS and did too much parting the next 10 years, now it's a tad challenging catching up.

Pic was ripped from T-Nation, got to love the soft porn site, least I get to read some Dan John once month.

Re: 225 lbs OHS

I prefer the Poliquin stuff. Ever since the slosh pipe I can't take DJ too seriously (and a couple other things).

That'll be awesome! Not afraid of being complete toast by Sat morning?
Nah there's always ice, ibuprofen and caffeine!

Sots press - not really worried about that either.

My goals are (as I'm planning to achieve them in this particular order):

BW OHS x15
BW Snatch
Backflip and may be gainer.
Sub 1:20.0 500 m row.
1000 lbs Total
Deadhang ring muscle up.
Bar kip to support.
Kip to support on the rings from the invert.

And somewhere along the lines - sub 5 Fran and a freestanding HSPU.
