I will be in Sacramento in May for a few days and wanted to visit either the Chico or Soquel CF. They are both about 2 hours from my hotel, so I was wondering if anyone familiar with the area can give me a hint on which one will be easier to get to. Traffic in San Diego can get pretty bad and on certain days it can take an hour to go 15 miles. I plan on going there early in the morning on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday for a 6 or 7 a.m. session. Or would evenings be better?

Thanks

Not sure where Soquel is, but Chico is pretty easy to get to. head up I-5, exit hwy 99 to yuba city, take 99 into chico. Only hard thing is if you're traveling during peak traffic hours.

I live in Sacramento. Soquel is by Santa Cruz which is about 3+ hours from Sac but rush-hour traffic in the SF Bay Area can easily increase that by an hour even if you dance around the outskirts of the bay.

As Veronica says, Chico is easy, and a shorter trip.

Sweet! Another stop on my planned 'Puking tour of CF'. I visit my outlaws in Loooomis once or twice a month.

Re: Visiting CF in NorthCal

As of 3 weeks ago, we've got a group of 5 people started in the Yuba City & Marysville area of CA. Getting wierd looks from the body-builders at this gym "Future Fitness", but that's not stopping us having fun. Anyone else in the Yuba City, CA area please feel free to stop by on a Mon/Wed/Fri evening around 7-8pm & join the fun!

Re: Visiting CF in NorthCal

Sounds like you and others are near my stomping grounds....

Anyone visiting the Foothills of Grass Valley/Nevada City is welcome to stop by CrossFit Sierra. Opened my doors in July and thanks to Coach Kenyon, I'm equipped with 3 half-racks to go along with all the other trimmings. Climbing rope and tires to be added this week.

Drop me a line and I'll roll up the door! Our gang did the Olympic Mile today...be happy to repeat it for you!
