Finally got back out today. I've been sick and then distracted.

Man, rough day.

Did some press.

3x45, 65, 85, 100, 110, 120, 135 (3x3) Then 2x140.


Then did a metcon with Nik.

8 rounds. 2 min/round with 1 minute between.
200m run
12 knee raises
burpees

Ended up with 35 burpees total. That's with meeting Pukie twice on round 6 and just walking round 7.

Well, I am not as consistent as I would like to be, but I am working on it. One of my goals is to build better recovery capacity which will allow me to do more intense exercise in the future. Right now, I am doing that through less intense but more frequent exercise - greater volume. This requires a lot of consistency which I haven't quite mastered just yet. But I'll get there. Just have to grind away at it.

Back on the wagon today. Been sick for a few weeks and just haven't been able to get moving.

Hit some squats today.

Worked up to 1x280

3x3x195
2x5x140

Walked 3/4 a mile.

Shoulder hurt me yesterday so I couldn't get into my cleans very far.

Squatted again today due to lack of options.

Worked up to 300x1

Then 3x3 at 235.

Had another rough days with my right trap strained or something. Took a few days off.

Squatted yesterday. Worked up to 3x3 @ 265.

Power cleans today. Worked up to 3 ugly singles at 200lbs.

It really kills me how quickly you can lose strength/form. A few weeks back Nik and I were going back and forth with minimal breaks to see who would miss first at 195. We got 10 reps in before we bumped it to 200. Got 5 reps there and I could have goneall day. My singles today were so bad. Gotta get my practice in. Thank God I'm feeling good about things right now.

You know, one metcon every 6 weeks kinda sucks.

Did a little shoulder press today. 3x3 at 130.

Then did a little metcon I enjoy.

3 rounds
10 DL at 225
50 double-unders

I started my last set of DUs at 5:30. Finished at 9:00. That last set was grueling. I couldn't string 2 together to save my life. Last time I did this was 6:04. I was on track to do this if not for the DUs.

I think I took last Thursday off.

Friday I squatted and my back was feeling a bit tight. Hit 2x255, I think.

Squatted yesterday and made it up to 275x2x2x3

Snatched and cleaned today.

Snatch I worked up to 5 singles at 115 (my snatch is pretty weak). These were power snatches, almost muscle snatches.

Cleans I worked up to 5 singles at 185. Then one at 190, 195, 200, and missed at 205. Better than last week.
