My first 2x BW Backsquat

I've been Crossfitting since 2005 and am still making progress. Yesterday was a 25lb PR on my back squat and the first time I've got 2x bodyweight up! It feels good to keep progressing. So far I'm still getting faster, stronger, more powerful, and still having fun. 330# at a bodyweight of 165.

Cause getting to the x2 marker isn't hard enough.... You shorter guys with your ridiculous strength to weight ratios making me look bad....

Oh yeah and congrats on the lift, maybe I will be there someday with you

2.5x back squat, raw, is bordering on inhuman...
good goal to shoot for though.

Re: My first 2x BW Backsquat

Nice!

I got my first 2x BW squat (270) during my last shot at the CFT. I hit 260 on the 2nd attempt (already a 10 lb PR at the time) and just couldn't bring myself to only go for 265, even though I didn't think I had 270 in me. I stalled and had to rally every fiber of strength in my mind and body to keep the bar moving. I've heard powerlifters describe lifts that way before, but that was the only time I truly felt it.
