Re: Video Games

Call of Duty 4 on PS3. I was like an addict when I first got it but have slowed down. I picked up Army of Two but haven't played it too much. I'm waiting for the new SOCOM and for the Force Unleased game. Both look pretty cool.

Re: Video Games

Gamer here, was all for PC, but now am a platform player, find me on R6V2 or COD4.

Used to play PC, warcraft, company of heroes (favourite PC game). These days I just cant see the point in forking out $500 every 8-10 months to keep upgrading my system so that I can play the games at the quality that the games are capable of.

Just my thoughts.

Re: Video Games

I accumulated 4000+ hours on GameCube game called "Phantasy Star Online" over a period of about three years. Most of that was before I got interested in exercise, and needless to say, it began to die off afterwards. But damn, I was good at that game; it was near literally all I played.

I'm hardly a gamer nowadays, though I did recently buy a Wii. Summer break is starting, so it'll get some use. I'm going through Metroid Prime 3 right now, really, my least favorite of the three games. The controls are nice, but from what I've seen so far, most of the additions are lame. (Your ship can pick things up? So what? Hypermode? Makes it too easy.) The plot of MP1 was far better and it had some of the best scare-you-crapless stuff in the series.

I've also purchased Resident Evil Zero through Resident Evil 3 (all GameCube), which I got interested in after seeing the movies. I'll probably buy the Wii RE4 once I get closer to needing it. This'll be a scary summer.

Re: Video Games

Yup, gamer here. It's what I do in my free time. Mainly WoW (semi-retired), GTA4, NHL08, Civ4, COD4 and Advanced Wars on the DS. Gamers sure like their abbreviations.

Re: Video Games

I've been gaming since the first Space Invaders appeared in my hometown. Thousands of hours and dollars in arcades as a kid. After PCs came around lots of FPS; all the Doom and Quake series plus their knockoffs (FEAR, Half Life etc). A few flight sims, the entire Command and Conquer/Red Alert franchise. Lately a fair amount of top down strategy (e.g. Rome Total War). Just bought a Wii recently (but not Wii Fit, thank you) and got sucked back into FPS stuff like Metriod Prime: Corruption. Then there's Endless Ocean, quite possibly the laziest, most soothing video game EVAR.

Re: Video Games

Did a lot of raid leading in WoW, then decided I'd learned what I could and just lost interest in playing. I fool around on Tabula Rasa now, and looking forward to Mass Effect now that it's coming to the PC, but gaming has really tailed off for me now that I'm back in school. I'll probably return in a couple years (heh).

Re: Video Games

I'm a casual gamer. We still haven't upgraded to a Wii yet, but that's OK because we still get lots of play time from the GameCube; I like PikMin, The Sims I and II, Mario Party, DDR Mario Mix.

I have a DS with the classic "Zelda" games, Pokemon, and Animal Crossing.

On the PC I have played WoW, Guild Wars, and just recently got back into City of Heroes/Villains.
