In the videos showing muscle ups and false grip last week, the participants were wearing what looked like wrist protectors to prevent tearing the skin.

Does anyone know what the participants were wearing, and if it works well? I have a real problem with tearing up my wrists in high-rep muscle up sets, and this looks like a good solution.

You could also take a wristband and cuff it on the wrist/palm as gymnasts do in grips or straps.

I wear wristbands when I do muscle-ups. They go for about $8/pair at any sporting goods store. Who needs a big 'ol bone-deep bruise for no good reason?

I use some of the "non-slip" rubbery cupboard/shelf liner between my hand/wrist and the ring. Works great. Double up if you get the thin stuff.

??? Wrist bruise? Either I'm doing something right or I'll keep doing something wrong. No bruising here. Maybe my false grip isn't as false as it could be.
