is there a good way to check your blood pressure without going to the doctor? I would like to know what mine is but have no way of checking as far as I know.

Micheal,
I've seen BP monitors for sale at drug stores for about fifty bucks. I haven't bought one because I have one avilable for use at work.
I do seem to have higher readings when using Creatine. With Creatine, my systolic runs about 130, diastolic about 90.
After a few days without Creatine, my bp runs about 120/70. Sometimes my diastolic will drop to 60 or so (and I don't know if that's good or not).

my problem is I live in Japan so I can't get a monitor very easily. That is why I ask how one can test themselves.

I bought one from a company called Lifesource. Fully automatic.Just wrap around your arm and it will give you a reading including pulse rate. I took readings three times a day. At waking, then around noon, and before bed. Averaged out to get an idea of where I was. We naturally go up and down during the day. It is the big spikes we have to watch out for which Creatine does create.

Thanks, I will have to have a look around. Maybe I can find something, the Japanese are very compulsive about these kinds of things.
