I made some levers from some old, bent Pro-Style dumbbell handles, pipe foam and 2" PVC pipe. One is made from a dumbbell handle and an Olympic adapter:

For the grip, I used Rust-Oleum's plastic paint. I found that it is easy to clean, resists chips, and stays slick (and looks better than the plain old white PVC pipe!):

After a year's worth of use, this set-up has held up well.

Clay,

I did the same thing, only I used the threaded, adjustable dumbbell handles. I didn't go with the thick handles.

Ahmik,

This is for forearm training (maybe other exercises but I only use them for forearms). Google "clubbells" and you should find some info.

I used them mainly for wrist exercises (I broke my left wrist twice).

I also use the light one for wrist rotations...it really helps with my golfer's/tennis elbow (lever-side in the below link).
