Thumbs up Crossfit changed my fitness for good!

A big shout out from Bangalore India!

Crossfit arrived early this year and changed my life! I'm in the best shape of my life and I've been trying to spread crossfit's idea of fitness.

I've been trying to get certified so that I can start a Crossfit fitness center here in bangalore. After doing a little research, I found the ISSA personal trainer certification that can be completed online.

Mind you, I have read that a NSCA or an ACE certification is top notch, but they cannot be taken completely online. It's really frustrating to think that I might have to settle for something less, so I was wondering if anyone has heard of the ISSA and if they are any good.

Don't you have to be cf certified L1 to have a cf center?

Otherwise, welcome and good luck.

Re: Crossfit changed my fitness for good!

Thanks Brian!

I was going through the Crossfit affiliation section, and it says that the 'requirement for CrossFit Certification prior to affiliating has been waived for those applicants outside of North America.'

Dunno why... I've seen the little vids from certifications and I think they add amazing value. I cannot believe how some people can call functional movements at high intensity bogus and nothing but a marketing ploy... but hey... it takes all sorts I guess.

Some where between collaboration and competition lies the BS.
Oh well

Would love to attend a certification. Pity the Sydney certification in Feb is sold out! If I do necessarily need a CF lvl 1 cert, then I was thinking Crossfit Asia Okinawa. Fingers crossed.

Hi Fareed

There is also a L1 cert in Brisbane but it's not until May. You might try emailing HQ about Sydney as there is a possibility some people will try to switch to Brisbane & leave gaps. This is the seconf Sydney cert & both booked so fast there is probably a long wait list but it may be worth a try.
