Gym Finished - Finally!

OK, my home gym is finally done. I have attached some pics below. Here is everything I have and where I got it from:

Squat Rack – Barry’s Barbell & Fitness – Columbus, OH
Pendlay Bar – Witchita Falls
Elite II Rings - Tyler Hass
Bumper Plates – Wright Rubber – Jason Hughes
C2 Rower – Model D – Rogue Fitness
Climbing Rope – McMaster Carr
Kettlebells – Christian’s Fitness Factory
GHD Machine – Josh Everett – FREE!
Weight Holders – Designed myself and had welded locally.
Pullup Bar – Local Plumbing Store
Rubber Mats – Local Manufacturer defects – FREE!

Just wanted to thank everyone here so much for all of the input and ideas that I used in constructing and obtaining everything I needed for this. I big thank you goes out to all the vendors who were excellent to work with and provided everything I needed in a timely and professional manner. Also, wanted to give a shout out to Josh Everett for the free GHD Machine, if you are ever back in the area Josh, feel free to come workout with me. This whole process took about 6 months and was well worth the wait. Thanks again everyone for all of your help!

Bob

Re: Gym Finished - Finally!

Bob,

Congrats on the gym, it looks great. Like you, it has taken me about 6 months to finally get my garage gym almost complete. I dont think it will ever be completly finished because it seems that there is always something else that I want to add.

Also, nice grab on the free mats. What type of manufacuturer did you get them from? I'm asking because if I have one nearby, I'll try to score some myself.

Have a good one,

Chris

How do you like it? Will the pull-up bar be sufficient, at least in the short-term? I'm considering ordering the same model.

The pull-up bar was a little narrow for me, but fit my wife perfectly, I prefer a wider grip, however, for the short term it should work fine. Overall, it is a great rack and I am extremely happy with it.

I second Jeff. Love the bumper plate installation. It's like art. Muscular, painful art.

Re: Gym Finished - Finally!

The gym really looks great... I was wondering what you used to hang the plates on the wall??? I like that they apear to fit really well...

Did you use a floor flange and 2" pipe???

Thanks,

Colin
