Actually that's an urban legend. Both sides of the family contribute.

Agreed.

My Mom's dad went bald at 19. I am 28 and have no hair loss.

Re: Balding?

How about this? : I know a guy, now in his 40s, who has always had a thick head of hair (to go with his thick head ) but his younger (by a year) brother went naturally bald at 18. Their sister who is younger than both of them has hair like the older brother. I'm confused....

Re: Balding?

For the past 10 years I have been watching my hairline (I have a freckle that was just under the hair) and within the past year that poor little freckle has been getting more and more sun =(. Good thing I look good with a shaved head. My wife doesnt like it because I look mean with a shaved head.

To add a useful response to the OP. My dad has tried all the different hair treatments, except surgery but I dont think any of them have worked. I was either thinking of letting nature take its course or sporting the most hideous comb over EVAR!

Re: Balding?

Genetics. Don't fret about it.

I started losing hair in my early 20's. Yeah, imagine that!
However, even though I was initially super self-conscious about it, I found it was not much of a big deal to others. Advice: don't hide it with hideous comb-overs, etc.

There are always women who dig a balding/bald/shaved head.

Re: Balding?

Head-Hair is overrated. I'd rather be bald with the body of a true CrosFitter, than the other way around :P
