I started only being able to do maybe 4 or 6(deadhang). Then I learned how to kip. After a few months now of using kipping pull ups in the WODS, I was able to perform 13 *very* strict pull ups last night (started off in a full dead hang, came up slowly, went back down slowly, hanged for a couple seconds, repeated). I think I could have gotten more. I can also kip more than 20 pull ups.

Michael: Don't overlook working your grip, farmer's walks are awesome. I used kipping, ladders, then weighted. 5x5 weighted works great :080402gudl_prv:.

I searched the board, what the heck is GTG?
Jason; I'll give those a shot as well. Am already getting strange looks for jumping on the benches at the gym, might as well go full out.
Bill; your right. I think the gravitron is a nice to have but I'm going back to jumping pullups with negatives till my numbers improve.
Did anyone find kettlebell/dumbbell swings translate to the hip swing for kipping?
