Basement to Garage

I have decided to move everything from my basement to my garage. The cleaning out the garage process has begun. Very excited about the higher ceilings. However, my garage gets super, super hot in the summer and ridiculously cold in the winter. Is there anything I need to do as far as care and maintenance to my equipment from any potential damage to them? Will the extreme heat or cold affect my equipment?

For typical gym equipment, West Virginia humidity may be more of a factor than temperature.
