New Year's Eve Recruitment

Hey guys. I am helping out at a new affiliate. Go Performance in Paducah, KY. Affiliated for about a month, gym just opened this past summer. We are still getting our name out there.

I'm wondering what mareketing plans other affiliates have for trying to use New Year's Resolutions as a way to draw people in. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

EDIT: Obviously I meant New Year's in the title... Not New Year's Eve.
I'm like a gazelle. Except slow... and not very graceful.

Re: New Year's Eve Recruitment

We're promoting a New Years Body Transformation class, that will include using the Zone Diet, now.
Our foundation here is the WOD, but we offer other training groups for people who haven't decided to become CFers yet.
As you might already know, the commitment to New Years resolutions fades very quickly for most people.
Our training is "satisfaction guaranteed or their money back", which helps in tight economic times.

Re: New Year's Eve Recruitment

I was told by some type of life coach person that Resolutions fade on Feb. 15. And that lined up with what I saw in my globo days, busy as all get out until Feb 15, then it was back to normal. I guess people cram fitness in, get a hot date for Valentine's day and then that's good enough for them. heh

Re: New Year's Eve Recruitment

I guess any advertising will be more effective this time of the year. I had a women just drop in and buy a package for herself and her husband. I have an ad going out in a Activity and Sports Mag in Jan 09. I think any advertising is good adverstising. Some more effective than others. 5 Months open and we are still getting the word out. Just picked up 7 new clients in 35 days and 5 more on the hook due to come in this week. Hope to reach 50 or 60 to move into a larger box.

Re: New Year's Eve Recruitment

Just thinking out loud but going off Frank’s idea with the "New Years Body transformation" classes and ways to promote your affilate.

Have a transformation challenge (12weeks) Maybe work on a point system and have incentives, challenges, your own CF games ect. to decide your winner/ers. I know CF central did the sparten challenge, which sounds awesome and would be thinking along the same lines.
We are looking to build our numbers, same as everyone and New Years is a good opportunity to get the name out, get people involved and hooked.
Any ideas / experience would be appreciated.
