Starting For newcomers to the CrossFit methodology

I work as a gym instructor & personal trainer and teach 2-3 spinning classes a week(i push myself hard doing this & often average around 170 HR with max between 185-190). When i do these clases should i still do the wod or only if it has an upper body emphasis?

Welcome to CrossFit! I am guessing you have done this schedule for a while and although it is demanding you have likely adapted to the spinning. If you nutrition is sound and you are sleeping sufficiently (ie. your recovery is adequate) there shoulod be no problem starting the WOD's. You may experience a period in which you are more fatigued but this should pass pretty quickly and you will be fine. Be reasonable, ease into it and modulate the intensity of your WOD efforts.

Thanks Rob have done monday & tuesday WOD plus did a 50 min spinning class yesterday. Felt absolutely knackered by end of day & boy do i ache today. Took today off & will do wednesday workout on thursday. Foreams & inside elbows really hit hard by the pull-ups.
