First Month Down

I'm going to start off with a massive cliche: I've made active living a priority for over 10 years, but since I started utilizing CrossFit principles, I've achieved more in one month than I have in several years.

I started running up and down the aisles of my gym's arena once a week, which I'd seen a local hockey team doing during public skates. There are 25 aisles in total, and on my first attempt I managed to clear 8 in a row, with subsequent sets of 2-3 aisles. Now, one month later, I've increased my first round to 13-14 aisles, with subsequent sets of 4-5. My goal is to get all 25 down in one shot.

Many of my fellow gym-goers seem to think I'm nuts when I run the aisles, sweat through sets of thrusters, and slog through 100+ pushups...but I usually spot a tint of green on their faces! I love pushing myself and surpassing the expectations of myself and others.

In addition, I did my first set of bodyweight dips today - I'd been previously relying on the Gravitron to assist me, and still rely on it for pullups. I'll be sure to let you guys know when I reach (and surpass) that milestone.

Quality stuff! Your first dip is a pretty big achievement!

Youll reach your pullup in no time....
