i am trying to "learn" the hook grip, so even though the rx'd load for WOD is light, it seems like a good idea. This is going to slow me way down if I keep re-hooking my thumb. What do most of you do?

Hold the hook thoughout the set. You need not re-grip. Some athletic tape around the thumb helps to prevent blisters.

I'm so glad you got that before anyone took me seriously.

John, thanks for the advice, I will try and hold the hook grip the whole time (sans gloves). Doing the WOD in about 1/2 hour, so I'll see how it goes.

Yeah, it went OK, I had to rehook a few times. Hook grip made it feel like I was slipping out wide more. Needs a lot of practice, and thanks for everyones help.
