Cool article.

Did you read through the comments? Some people are just scared to work hard and mask that by throwing around "dangerous" and "too intense".

Yea.. there is a lot of bs being said in some of those comments. comparing crossfit to step aerobics as the new latest craze is ignorant..

Re: Article on Crossfit in today's Seattle Times

that was a fun article, always good to see crossfit getting recognized in a positive light and giving more attention to its functionality than its perceived extremism...

the comments section is just funny! one of them had this gem of a quote: "In my opinion, NO PERSON SHOULD LIFT ANY TYPE OF WEIGHT - including their own body weight - UNTIL they've mastered correct form" nearly spit my coffee out when i read that one...apparently you should stay seated until you have properly mastered the movement of standing up

Re: Article on Crossfit in today's Seattle Times

That's a balanced article. With respect to Dave's back, it occurs to me that the functional and varied aspects of our program amount BOTH to rehab AND prehab.

I didn't comment on it at the time, but a few weeks ago on the Main page I was debating someone on progressive training on repeated movements, versus our randomization. The next cycle they asked for help with an overuse injury.

So keep in mind the "medicine" aspect of this, that they also talked about in the article. If it's broke, CrossFit helps fix it. If it isn't broke, yet, CrossFit helps keep it from breaking. And a big part of our prescription is doing a LOT of different movements, in varying patterns.
