Re: No Grains/No Sugars Support Group!!

i'm following the challenge as well. 5th day w/o sugar & grains. i can tell that i am leaning out already/in a better mood. i'm determined not to buy anything with sugar because it will set me up for failure. also practicing IF 16-20 hours and sleeping A LOT more and earlier about 7-8PM every night. eating a lot of meat and a lot of salad.

Doing well. Have replaced sugar cravings with intense protein cravings. I think I've eaten four chickens in the last 24 hours. I'm curious where this comes from.

No grains so far either.

Re: No Grains/No Sugars Support Group!!

Lauren, you better watch out for the sugar in that wing sauce!! lol

Anyway, after two weeks this gets easy; pretty sure I lost all my holiday poundage.

I am really posting b/c I wanted to mention to anyone who is listening that I coaxed a coworker into doing this challenge 10 days ago and he says he lost 8lbs since. Probably some water weight in there, but it works! And he really does no exercise except pushups.

Oh, and a funny side note. He says that from all the pushups that his triceps are becoming bigger and he wants to know some bicep exercises to do to even out his arms. UGH. I told him that if he is gonna lift a weight for once in his life, he should start with his legs. One day at a time...

Chin-ups and DLs, better than biceps curls and functional movements too.

+1 for the two weeks, I start craving more fat and protein, like rotisserie chicken, roasted pork, almond butter, etc. It can get to the point where I have to eat fruits/veggies just to fuel my metcons and not because I want to eat them.

Frank's Buffalo wing sauce is sugar-free. As is traditional Franks. Thus, I put them on everything.

Ditto on the rotisserie chicken cravings. I had to stick my chicken over spinach today just to get some vegetables.

Re: No Grains/No Sugars Support Group!!

Ive been following this for sometime...Question to all. In my business I entertain quite a bit-which involes dining out. I am easily able to keep to the no sugar/grains part of this, but alcohol consumption is the bain of my existence. I try and limit to 2 glasses of great red/night, when out with clients....but the weekend I generally cut loose.

Is everyone else cutting out alcohol completely?

I don't cut out alcohol. Have coincidentally not been drinking much lately, but not by design really. I drink one night per week, considerably more then 2-3 drinks!

Need to enjoy life too.
