Update: I rediscovered how to create a custom workout.

It's not in the postings section, you have to go to the workouts section.

Re: New WOD Recording Tool Just Launched/Beyond the Whiteboard (threads merged)

I have a question regarding how rankings are determined.

Last week I posted my results for "Barbara," and marked it as Rx'd as it would have been had an injury not prevented me from completing it. However, as I marked the movements not completed as DNF, and left off the incomplete rounds, I thought the system would account for that. Obviously it just looks at the "Rx'd" checkbox as a flag, regardless of the actual results. So, I've noted that for future postings.

This was called to my attention by Jeremy Kinnick and Christian Bull, so I corrected it. However, in looking at their profiles, especially in the barbell lifts, I'm confused. I'm listed as 1st in Site and Gender ranking categories for Thrusters @ 95lbs, but Christian is listed as ranking 51st at the same weight, and Jeremy is listed as ranking 34th @ 205lbs. Several other barbell lifts seem to be similarly erroneous in their rankings. I'd noticed there were several lifts in which I was listed as ranking 1st, and just presumed that no one else had posted results for those lifts (I don't imagine for a second that there aren't at least fifty-thousand guys out there who would be posting higher results ).

Is there something I'm missing?

Perhaps the lifting scores are adjusted to consider the bodymass of the lifter.

That's how they scored the lifting section at the Western Canadian qualifiers for the Games; they used the "Siff" scoring system.

I think that the Barbell lifts sometimes ranks you according to the workout that you performed for that lift. Only when you do a max effort workout as your barbell lift is the ranking accurrate. (I think.)

Yeah, if your heaviest lift is in a workout, it lists your ranking for that workout. It shouldn't do that. We're going to update it so the rank will work the way it's supposed to.

What if our heaviest lift is actually part of a workout, though? Do we have to post it separately as a ME workout to rank the movement accurately? Or does the system automatically count WODs like "Deadlift 1-1-1-1-1-1-1" etc., as ME workouts, even if they're posted as your box's WOD?

Are there any plans to allow fractional inputs for times?

The WOD at FF yesterday involved 40m sprints, and when entered all the times rounded up to the nearest second.

We are working on fixing the Benchmark page ranking to work the way they should, and we are also planning on allowing for decimals when posting weights/time/etc.

Jonathan - is there a way to adjust the time denominator for AMRAP workouts? What I mean is that if I do a 10 minute or 15 minute Cindy, there's no way to tell the system how long the workout was. I could post under a separate 1/2 cindy workout for example, but I would like to be able to see 20, 15, and 10 minute Cindys all on the same chart with comparable avg power numbers. I think this would be a cool feature to add if the capability isn't already there.

Re: New WOD Recording Tool Just Launched/Beyond the Whiteboard (threads merged)

Any way to create a workout that has an 800m sprint before and after the workout?

For example,

800m run

5 rounds for time
15 push press
10 squat

800m run.

Thanks,
Patrick
