I found this (WFS) post the other day that nicely sums up a philosophy I've been trying to elucidate to myself for a while now.

The concept of "aprovechar" is one I don't see touched on much on these boards, but I think it is worth considering. It dovetails nicely with some of the food ideas espoused by Michael Pollan, and the heart of it--finding enjoyment in life through balance and simplicity--is one I've seen reflected on more paleo-focused blogs like Mark's Daily Apple.

I've posted it in Nutrition as I think it is particularly applicable with respect to the eating habits of the generic American diet and Crossfitters, but if we had a "lifestyle" section it would be more applicable there.

Re: Aprovechar

Thanks for posting Emily. In a world increasingly full of extremes, finding balance is becoming more and more difficult, but more and more important as well. A very simple explanation of a very complex universal principal. Good find!
