Annie Are You Okay?

We recently ran this as follows:

21-15-9
Row (calories)
DB Thrusters (40# each hand)
SDHP (65# bar)
Burpees
Ball Cleans (14# - 16#)
Wall Ball (14# - 20#)

The general consensus of our small group was that this workout was in the top tier of all-time tough WODs .. right up there with Murph and Linda.

Anyone else ever do this WOD? What was your experience?

If you have not done this one, it deserves a spot in your rotation ... kind of a Fight Gone Bad with task priority.

Re: Annie Are You Okay?

Larry,

I did that once about 15 months ago. You're right it's absolutely ridculous. We did it team style where you couldn't go to the next station until everyone completed their reps (calories). The rowing was actually the "resting" station for me.

And I think we did pull-ups instead of burpees...so your version here is actually much more difficult than ours was.

Is burpees as rx'd or is it pull-ups officially?

Re: Annie Are You Okay?

Aushion,

I followed the "Annie are you okay?" video, which has burpees (yeah, burpees!). I don't know if there is another version.

I think I might try a Tabata "AAYOK?" sometime. That should be fun.

Re: Annie Are You Okay?

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Crossfit Annapolis ran a "Running Annie Are you Ok?" a while back (due to lack of C2's) and it destroyed me more than many of the others have, including Linda and Murph. I yakked on every round at the burpees portion. It sucks.

Did it at a cert. in '05. I think it was the first time they did that WO with a large group...it was tough!

Re: Annie Are You Okay?

I did a Tabata "Annie are you OK?" earlier this year. Second only to "Tabata FGB" as a killer met-con for me. Tons of fun.

Re: Annie Are You Okay?

Ok, went back and watched the video of our Annie are you ok? Ours was "modified".

21, 15, 9
Row (calories)
DB Thrusters (looks like 35#)
Box Jumps (looks like 20")
Med Ball Cleans (20#)
Wall Ball (20#)
Pull-ups

For me box jumps at 20" is an easier movement than SDHP as well, I'll have to try the standard AAYO.K.?.... would you tell us, that you're o.k.?
