I just started competing in USAW events, but I cannot seem to find a men's weightlifting singlet anywhere.

Does anyone know where to find one (men's medium)?

My usually competent internet research skills are failing me horribly.

Best,

Jon

Thanks, Ro. I've been looking for a version with sleeves, a la the "Atenus" at Eleiko, but it might be time to give up.

I appreciate the help, though.

Best,

Jon

Jon,
You're not going to unleash the guns at your meets? C'mon man!

Try http://www.lifttilyadie.com/w8lift.htm#BAR

EBay may also have some.

I'm looking into the possibility of using my old sleeveless triathlon "trisuit" (no collar, zip-up front, Lycra Power shorts) in my first WL comp. It would seem to fit all the necessary rules. My only concern is where the zipper is in relation to my rack position. I'll have to test it out at home with some heavy singles. Like this: http://www.trisports.com/desomefotr.html

I'm all for multitasking outfits.

What about a sleeveless singlet and an undershirt, such as the ones on http://www.dynamic-eleiko.com/products/liftingsuits.htm or pair the singlet with an UnderArmour-type sleeved shirt?

All links are work/family safe.

jon, adidas discontinued the version with the sleeves a year ago, so you may be searching in vain. Im pretty sure that all they sell now are the separate pieces (the singlet and the undershirt) not sure of any of the major companies that still make singlets with the sleeves attached

Also, there's no rule saying you can't wear a sleeve shirt UNDER the singlet if you want.

Andrew Clark: You don't have any goals.
John Bender: Oh but I do.
Andrew Clark: Yeah?
John Bender: I wanna be just like you. I figure all I need, is a lobotomy and some tights.
Brian Johnson: You wear tights?
Andrew Clark: No I don't wear tights. I wear the required uniform.
Brian Johnson: Tights.
Andrew Clark: Shut up.

Sorry guys. The Breakfast Club just popped into my head; couldn't resist. All love and respect.

John

Ro,

You're a font of information, my friend. Thanks!

Garrett,

I wore tri shorts and an Under Armor Shirt to my first comp. No problems there. I kept the guns holstered, and powered everything. A huge 140 kilo total ;) I didn't squat once.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the help. Except for you Joe. Except for you...:msn-wink:

Jon;

Pink is the new black, just my two cents when you're picking out your new summer outfit.
Your bud,

Jay
