Squat form check.

I just recently started Starting Strength. I am starting at a lower weight for squats to make sure I get my form dialed in.

Please be brutal.

My own comments...
-I think I decended too fast
-I wasn't really explosive either

Re: Squat form check.

Look down, not in the mirror.
A few looked high.
Watch the knee sliding forward on a couple reps.

Re: Squat form check.

Thanks. Next time I use that rack I was considering switching the brackets around so I looked out at a 45* towards the floor and didn't have the mirror to get feedback from.

Re: Squat form check.

slow down it is not a race. take a breath and get tight before each rep so you can make each one perfect instead of going fast and having inconsistent movement. The actual movement does not need to be slower, but the set up between reps needs to be.

You are a bit high on most of the reps, so work on sitting back a bit more and really get those knees out of the way. think splitting the ground apart with your feet.

Re: Squat form check.

Good input so far.

Lower, slower. Watch the knees.

Re: Squat form check.

Props for the eye candy in the background. Watching other dudes squat form tends to get tiring. Anyways, more hip drive and take a huge breath and hold it with your belly when u go down. Looks pretty good other than that.
