Had some similar results the first few times I did OHS.

Coach instruction that really helped me:

-Told me to have more active shoulders. I think of it as trying to get my shoulders in my ears.
-Exaggerated the first movement of hips back and down.
-Tight core and a big breath of air prior to starting the movement. Felt this helped me a lot to be more stable under the weight.
-Quick down, and fast up.

Sorry, the "active shoulders" thing bugs me almost as much as defaulting to automatically telling people to jump on a clean or shove knees out on a squat.
