SLAP tear surgery/recovery

I just got my arthogram MRI this week and the results show a definite Superior Labral tear. Surgery is the only option to fix it. Just wondering if anyone has had this surgery and if so how they recovered and are they back to 100% or close to it? Really bummed. I was going to go get my level one cert this summer and have pretty much finished building my garage gym.
