Re: the hardest wod you've done?

Good points, Jim. I was reminded that Crossfit is also about sustaining high levels of power for longer periods of time as well in a recent Journal video. We recently did a wod that took me 56+ minutes (2.5 miles of running involved). I have been fooling around with using lighter, rx'd and heavier weights for all of the Crossfit benchmarks. Most recently did "Fran" with 115lb thrusters and ctb pull-ups. Obviously it took me longer, but I am hoping that it will help me shave a few seconds off my rx'd Fran next time...it's HARD mentally to use non-rx weights, no doubt about that! I've been forcing myself to do it b/c I know that it will help in the long run...

We are all after the same goals here, we just take different roads to get there. It was fun debating with you.

800 meter run time trial. The last 200 meters or so is just dreadful. I hate running.

Re: the hardest wod you've done?

I thought this WOD was fuggin awful:

Five rounds for max reps of
Body weight bench press
Pull-ups
Body weight back squat

I was seeing stars after each round and was sore for a good 3-4 days.

Very rare that I would do something stupid like that...I deserved to be punished!!

Got a PR though...just sucks that the drinking was 'wasted', so to speak, with the Tigers completing a 'Metlike' meltdown and losing to the Twinkies.

I'm not very good at Grace yet. 7:25 rx'd. But one time I decided to do it with 65lbs and finished in around 1:16. That was probably the closest I ever came to puking. Your right that it makes it a completely different workout.
