Thumbs up Wendler 5/3/1 morning - CF afternoon

Hey everyone,

I'm on the Wendler 5/3/1 program.
Often though, I do not have time to do both Wendler and CF at once in the afternoon, therefore I am splitting up my day - Wendler in the morning, and CF in the afternoon.

My question is though - since the Wendler program isn't that intensive, and it is explained how you should do assistance workouts after your workout, if I can go without the assistance workouts after i've done the Wendler workout.

Then I will do CF only in the afternoons, without any lifting before or after.

Will the Wendler 5/3/1 be to weak of a program, without assistance workouts after?

- Magnus

Make WODS out of your assistance work, or just doing crossfit on your other days to help your recovery better to make the most out of your strength program

anywho here is a great article mixing the two

If your not getting enough from Wendler by itself I dont there is a reason to call it "weak" or "not intense". You can tailor the work to make it all you want and break yourself off every training opportunity, or have the option to make it weak as you want.

However, there is a section which is solely devoted to CF and Wendler hybrid in his 2nd book. If you dont have it I suggest getting it.
