Re: jumping on a tire and other ways to save money

They can hold quite a bit of weight....I have a 3/4 inch pipe because those standard (one inch hole weights) are good for my lat pull down and curl bar. I also use them for my son and they do a great job weighting the cage down for me. I keep about 100 lbs on them and they do fine. If you are only trying to store Olympic plates then obviously use a fatter pipe.

Re: jumping on a tire and other ways to save money

I made my own sled - actually I made to.
1st, is a tractor tire (unknown weight) but pretty heavy!. I took a long piece of waterhose, and made one loop that went around the tire and closed it with a waterclamp.
Then I made a loop for pulling the tire with my body. Again, not to tear up my breast, I put on some waterpipe insulation pipe.

2nd, I took an old wooden sled and build a really nice sled out of that.

For farmers walk, I took some PVC pipes, bend some aluminium pipes, and put some waterhose over it. Filled the PVC pipe with 20KG sand (45lb)
