The Games site went live today - and check this out:

I am signed up! (as a fan, of course...). I am looking forward to seeing how this thing goes.

I hope that the higher ranked video submissions are posted on the site. Although, I expect that most of the top competitors are going to be from affiliates.

Is anyone else having small issues with the new site? For instance, the search function isn't brining up results; when one of our athletes clicks "join a team," nothing happens, etc.

I hope this is is solved before the Open begins.

Hmm, only 32 atheletes so far signed up for the Asian region. Might automatically make regionals assuming I don't DNF a WOD.

Anybody have contacts with the Chinese or Indian embassies to see if they want to offer up a small percentage of those 2 billion people to try out? Could only help.

I signed in and then registered our Affiliate team. Since then have not been able to log back in and all attempts to email myself a new password have been met with "Email address not recognized." I'm sure they'll get it fixed soon, sure hope so.

Where do you see how many have signed up in your region???

in the "advanced search" - select your region, and it will come up with the total number registered there. You can scroll through them all if you like - or have the time.

Anybody know why some athletes are 'qualified' and some are not?

There was miscommunication at my affiliiate and we now have 2 teams. Two people created a team at virutally the same time. One with qualified athletes and one with out. I emailed them several days ago but haven't heard back yet. I'm guessing they have been inundated with questions.
