Convenient Heater for Garage Gyms

Did a search, didn't see anything similar so here goes:

Picked up an inexpensive/convenient little heater this weekend for the garage gym. Mounts atop any size propane canister and kicks out up to 45k BTUs. Gets my 500 ft^2 garage warm and toasty in <15 mins (local temps have been ~20 F lately). Though it seems stable I mounted I hooks and a chain around mine in the corner just to be extra safe.

Highly recommended. I have a 20# cannister and it lasts ~15 hours on low setting in continuous use. ~$65 at Home Depot.

What kind of heater is it? How much was it? It's been kinda cold here and my garage, and more importnantly the bars in it have been getting painfully cold, this would be a nice solution. I have tried other heaters in the past but didn't have much success with them.

(just kidding . . . this thing puts out 120,000 BTU's and will suck the 02 from any garage within a matter of minutes, plus it sounds like a jet engine :happy:)

Thats funny. I nearly passed out yesterday doing a workout outside, it was SO hot! I thought i was going to faint or something.

I love summer :proud:

Are you kidding?!!! I used to turn up the air conditioning even in wintertime to keep from feeling dizzy...After I realized it's probably not the best thing to do, I just enjoy the cold days as they are! (Obviously, cold here is a little different than what most of you experience over there)

Those heaters are a godsend in cold weather! Just keep a good amount of fresh air flow. We loose a few people up here in Alaska when they forget to crack a window. The midwest too, I imagine. Yeah Nikki, rub it in-I loved Oz every time I visited. Great folks, great weather, great beer.

Second the ventilation idea--those propane heaters work pretty well, but I don't know that you want to be sucking down those fumes too much. I can picture passing out with a nice heavy OHS...

Per ventilation, not a problem. Plenty of wind blowing through my old garage (literally from the '30's), but I put up a CO detector just in case.
