I was doing some heavy deadlift singles a couple of days ago, and halfway up on a PR lift, my left knee "popped", like cracking a knuckle. It was as if my kneecap "shifted". I felt discomfort, but NO PAIN afterwards. The knee still feels a little tight, but I can do a full body squat with no pain.

I am going to back off the heavy singles and doubles on the deadlift for now, but is this something I need to be more concerned about? I don't have any history of knee problems. I have been doing more O-lift type exercises (Burgener WU, OH squats, power cleans, etc) lately.

If there is no pain, swelling, or heat then you are probably alright. I would check your form, make sure your tibia is as vertical as possible. You may have been a little tight that day. Without knowing how long you have been lifting or you previous flexabilty its hard to tell for sure.
