Some of you CF'ers have made the trek to our KY warehouse and have seen our huge inventory of bumpers. Well, we are out of 25 LB Black plates and have to take another 38,000 LB mixed load shipment to bring our inventory back into balance. So here's the deal. While supplies last, we have some blemished 45 lb Red and 25 lb Yellow plates available for $1.00 per lb. CF'ers can also get 20% off list on all current stock of bumpers.

I am almost the proud owner of 270 pounds of bumpers.

Jay, bumpers are essential for preserving one's floor while doing almost any overhead lifting. The bumpers are rubber plates that bounce and don't damage the floor. Further, the heavier you go with overhead lifting, the harder, at least to me, it is to control the descent. It really hurts my wrists to try and control anything during the descent while doing overheads with anything over 250lbs. The bumpers allow for you to forget about damaging the floor and no worry about injuring yourself trying to control the weight on the descent. I love the darn things. I'm only going to have these in my home gym. I'm going to keep my membership at the place my wife and I train at because of the "core" equipment they have as well as the stuff for my daughters.

Hope that answers your question.

all the best,
ARden

They are also same diameter at all weights - so if someone (like me) who cannot use 45 lbs on a bar for moves from the floor wants to lift with 10s or 25s on the bar it will still be at an appropriate height off the floor.

yep, that's true too. My misses loves to look down and see three plates when she's deadlifting. Even thought it may only be 115 pounds.

all the best, ARden

I went to the rubberman on Friday to get some bumpers. Nice guys and quality products.

Also, don't overlook their floor matting if you are in driving distance - their prices are less than the $40 for a 4x6 I paid for a stall mat.

They actually have a lot more rubber products than I realized even after browsing the website.
