Just some info for anyone in the market.

I finally destroyed my cheap power bar yesterday with the snath WOD. I have been skulking around the boards here for a while, reading the opinions of many on good bumpers and bars, so I used my destroyed bar as an excuse for some new kit.

Anyway, I ended up getting a 160kg York training bumper set from the folks at BS Olympic. The set normally sells for 1030.00 including shipping, and comes with a York 20kg training bar. I called them up and they agreed to switch out the training bar for the new York international needle bearing bar which Ive heard is a better bar and about 200.00 cheaper. The bumper set and bar minus xfit discount and including shipping came out to 870.00. Good quality stuff and really knowledgeable and nice people to boot. Cant wait to get it.

Just got my York bar and York training bumpers from BS Olympic yesterday.
As previously stated by just about everyone else who already has this bar, you won't be disappointed. Now if I could just rid of that bumper plate stench...
Scott at BS Olympic was great to work with.

Scott really impressed me. I just called earlier today and he spent a lot of time on the phone answering my questions. What impressed me most is that he took time out of his day at home to do this after just having back surgery YESTERDAY! If that isn't service I don't know what is.

I actually got another call from Jim at BSO this morning. I guess York 20kg plates are backordered for a long while. For the amount of money I really dont want to mix manufacturers or LB and KG. BSO came through again and offered me the same set up for the same price with Kraiburg bumpers and the York international needle bearing bar.
