Re: 2016 CrossFit Games

11/9/12

Push-Press: 1 set of 5 at 95, 2 sets of 3 at 115, 3 sets of 3 at 110(PR), 1 Rep at 115(PR)

The 115 felt pretty light too, I definitely think I have 120 maybe even 125 in me.

WOD:

Death By Squats...

Every Minute on the minute perform an increasing number of squats by 5's.

Minute 1: 5 Squats
Minute 2: 10 Squats
Minute 3: 15 Squats
Continuing until you can no longer complete the required amount for the minute

Score: 50 Rx'd

I had a tournament today so no WOD and not a lot of skills or strength work. Pretty much a rest day other than 3 matches.

Front Lever: EMOM 7 Minutes: 15 Second Front Lever Hold with Blue Rogue Monster Band

Dip Support: Worked on turning rings out.

Muscle-Up Transition practice

Rest Day. I had 2 matches today so I couldn't get any work in. I have off tomorrow though, and since it's Veterans Day in going to have to take on Murph.

Ahhh... My first Murph. It hurt so Good.

WOD:

"Murph"

1 Mile Run
100 Pull-Ups
200 Push-Ups
300 Squats
1 Mile Run

43:59 Rx'd

Lots of room for improvement and I know next time I can definitely take at least 5 minutes off that.

Practice:

Push-Press: 5 sets of 2 at 105.

I was going to do more but even just that little bit was pushing it after that WOD.

Re: 2016 CrossFit Games

Okay, it's official, I came to the realization that if I want to make the games, it would be stupid not to follow Outlaw. I'll still do some of my own work as well though to work on some glaring weaknesses, but most of my strength will be outlaw from here on. Im still going to do my Boxes MetCons.

Outlaw Way:

5 Sets of 2 Clean and Push Jerk from Blocks (Above Knee): All done with 95Lbs,my shoulders are feeling seriously tight today after all my matches this weekend.

5 sets of 2 Snatch from Blocks (Above Knee): 65Lbs for all sets.

EMOM: 2 Back Squats at 80% of 1RM, Done with 135Lbs

There were Front Squats today too but I forgot that they were there and ended up not having time for them.

WOD:

5-4-3-2-1

Stair Run
Deadlift (225/135)

8:19 With a 195Lb Deadlift.

Pretty excited. I'm going to my L1 tomorrow! Should be a lot of good fun. I'm going to the LA Gauntlet Competition in January so I reviewed all the JV crossFit Kids WOD's to hopefully find the things that I cant do. The only true 2 things I can't do we're Handstand Walks and CTB Pull-Ups. So those will be the focus for 2 months.

The Outlaw Way:

Deadlifts: Every 15 Seconds 1 deadlift at 80%. Completed with 180Lbs

My Stuff:

CTB Pullup: 75 Reps with a Blue Rogue Band

Front Lever: Spent about 3 minutes in it today with a Blue Rogue Band. Not consecutively, just in total.

Handstand Flip: Did it 15 Times today and did a few walks with a spotter assisting my feet.

WOD:

Walking Lunges: 100-75-50-25
Rope Climbs: 4-3-2-1 After each set of Lunges

Time: 10:01 Rx'd

Re: 2016 CrossFit Games

Awesome day at my Level 1!! I got some amazing coaching cues and some really good things to work on with mobility and technique. I also got to meet Zach Forrest!! That was pretty cool. We did Team Fran today as the WOD. Great for community building and in the group I was in it was pretty much me and Jeremy who ended up doing all the pull-ups. The other 2 guys didn't have their pull-ups down yet and their 1s and 2s didn't really make a huge difference.

WOD:

As a 4 Man Team:

180 Thrusters (Had to use the Human Rack to change people between the bar, if the bar touched the ground it is a 10 Burppe Penalty)
400M Run
180 Pull-Ups
400M Run

25:20 Using a 75Lb Thruster
