Awesome! Got tons of work in today! I figured out how to kip my ring dips and it's pretty sweet. I did 100 in unbroken sets of 5 today with not very much rest between. Before I couldn't do that if I took 3 hours to do them and today it took me about 35 minutes. Also did a ton of Clean Videotaping to work on form. Worked on that for probably an hour and a half.

Practice:

100 Ring Dips (Unbroken sets of 5)

1 hour of Clean technique work


WOD:

100 Ground to Overhead for Time (95/65)

14:25 with 65Lbs

That's was awful... Enough said.

Light day. Im feeling pretty fatigued and sore so I just did the WOD today, nothing extra.

WOD:

ME Ring Dips

Rest 5 Minutes

5 Rounds for Time:

5 Deadlifts (275/195)
10 Box Jumps (24/20)
15 KB Swings (53/36)

8:55 with a 165Lb Deadlift. Went light with the deadlift. Didn't want to strain to hard today.

PR'd my Ring Dips though with 10. I was super sore in my chest and triceps too, I'm thinking I could be around 15 in a few days after I recover.

New Month, new goals and skills. I really want to work my front lever so I'm doing Carl Paoli's band progression on that. Also, I want to improve my Squat Snatch to be at the point Technique wise that I can squat snatch more than power snatch. Already there with my clean.

Skills:

7x30sec Front Lever hold with the 3rd thickest Rogue Band.

Snatch Balance: 7 sets of 1 at 65Lbs, 7 sets of 1 at 75lbs, 7 sets of 1 at 85lbs.

Squat Snatch: 15 reps at 75Lbs. Definitely better than last time, no missed lifts at that weight

WOD:

10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

OH Squat (95/65)
Pull-Ups

8:38 with 65Lb OH Squat.

Good day. Pretty sore so I was pretty picky about what I practiced as to avoid sore areas.

Power Clean: Work up to a Heavy single, 125Lbs, 5Lb PR. Then, 5 sets of 1 at 120Lbs, 10 sets of 1 at 115.

I felt good after that so decided to try for another PR. Got another 5 Lbs for a 130Lb lift. 10Lbs today was pretty good. I definitely feel like I have 135 in me.


WOD:

15 Minute AMRAP

200M Run
12 Push Ups
24 Sit-Ups
36 Squats

5 Rounds+ 1 Run and 72 Reps

More Olympic Lifting work. And a WOD. I was going to squat but my legs are really sore from yesterday's WOD.

Practice:

Power Clean: 5 sets of 3 at 120Lbs, 5 sets of 1 at 125Lbs

Heaving Snatch Balance: 3 sets of 1 at 65Lbs, 5 sets of 1 at 75Lbs, 7 sets of 1 at 85Lbs

Squat Snatch: 10 reps at 65Lbs, 10 reps at 75 Lbs

WOD:

10 Rounds for Time:

10 Double Unders
10 KTE

13:22 Rx'd. Those knees to elbows got brutal after the 5th round.

Legs were sore, I was also feeling pretty fatigued in general. Took a kind of rest day. Just a few skill things.

Practice:

30 Minutes of Double Under Practice

Roughly 10 minutes spent in the front lever using 1 50lb resistance band.

Snatch Balance: 3 sets of 1 at 65, 3 sets of 1 at 75, 3 sets of 1 at 85Lbs

Squat Snatch: About 30 reps at 75lbs.

Pretty short time today. Just did some more Clean and Jerks and Snatches. I downloaded Kinovea software so I have some videos to start messing around with that now.

Clean and Jerk: 7 sets of 1 at 115, 7 sets of 1 at 105

Snatch: 5 sets of 1 at 65, 5 sets of 1 at 75Lbs, really working my technique and trying to Build some speed on these.

WOD:

12 Minute AMRAP

25 Jumping Air Squats
10 Ab-Mat Sit Ups with a stick held behind your neck

10 Rounds+ 32 Reps

The purpose of the stick is to take some of the momentum of the arm swing out. Definitely makes them harder!

No school today! Spent the whole day at the gym but there wasn't really a whole lot to do because my legs were super tired.

Power Clean: 3 sets of 3 at 115Lbs (Lega felt heavy, stopped after those sets)

Push Press: 5 sets of 3 at 100Lbs, 3 sets of 1 at 105lbs

Ring Dips: 25 with 10Lbs of Weight

Ring Push-Ups: 100


WOD:

1 Minute Pull-Ups
1 Minute Bodyweight Deadlift
45 Seconds Pull-Ups
45 Seconds Bodyweight Deadlift
30 Seconds Pull-Ups
30 Seconds Bodyweight Deadlift
15 Seconds Pull-Ups
15 Seconds Bodyweight Deadlift

Practiced flipping into a handstand for about 30 Minutes

WOD:

10 Minutes to find 5RM Front Squat
Rest 5 Minutes
Tabata Push Ups
Rest 5 Minutes
100 Lunges for Time

125/94/2:32
*Front Squat wasn't a true 5RM because I'm still pretty seriously sore.
*Tabata Push ups 2 days In a row sucks, even if yesterday's was with a partner
