Hi. Just got the WWC coaching tapes on clean and snatch. They had a great explanation of snatch grip width. However, when I keep my arms straight and bend my knees a little it takes a grip width out to and touching the collars before the bar is at the crease of my hips/center of gravity. I'm 6'1". Does a grip that wide sound right?
thanks
Stephen

stephen,

i dont think that you should be touching the collars. try using the distance from you finger tips on one arm to the elbow of the other.

Not sure about number or price since it was an xmas present. I'll ask my wife but we're having a baby in the morning so it might be awhile before I"m back on.

Stephen, Dan John mentioned in his article on the Overhead Squat "I...let my hands slide out to the inside collars (at just over six feet tall, this is my usual snatch grip)".

I'm 6'1" also. I also go collar-to-collar. Most guys 6'1" and taller do.
