New to the forum

Just thought I would take a moment and say hello.

Im 42 years young at present. Spent many of my younger years (age 20 to 35) in martial arts and the gym. im 5'10 about 225lbs which is where I was weight wise through most of my 20's. I was a scrawny 180 when I graduated high school. I peaked at 260ish lbs in my mid 30's when I was heavy into more of a powerlifting/bodybuilding type workout.

Ran into some tough times, stopped working out and watching my diet and my health went hell. Weight didnt change a whole lot but body composition sure did.

Last november I decided to get my poop in a group, cleaned up my diet and started workout at home to get back into some semblance of shape before working out in public. I lost 30 pound over the next few months bringing me back down to 220. Ive got quite a few friends doing crossfit and at my age knew that my old strength and size just wasnt realistic or practical so I joined a local box about 6 weeks ago and I am loving it.

The fat seems to be melting off but the number on the scale is going up too, guess worse things could happen .

Nothing wrong, it's just that not everyone comments on everything they read.

Post specific questions or goals you have and you'll usually get more answers.

Not a problem, I was just pointing out that most people aren't going to type "hi, welcome" but if you have any questions they'll be more than happy to give their input and advice.

So, how's it going? You've got these months to enjoy working out outside.
