power clean 2nd pull position

Regarding the position in which you perform the 2nd pull, is it

shins vertical, knees aren't forward w/back slightly angled


shins angled, knees pushed forward and back is more upright..

34/m - 5'8" - 170lbs - 18%bf

The second pull begins just after the lifter has gotten the bar past the knees and is moving into the explosive phase of the lift. It often co-insides with what is called "the scoop" or the "double knee bend" part of the movement.

So this means that your knees will be forward, shins are not straight, and your chest is starting to open up towards a vertical extension.

Are you doing this for pulls off blocks or hangs??? Finding the start of this movement is a tough thing to do actually and requires an eye for it really. Although it is a great training exercise.
