Ok, ok. No lame *** questions. I worked out an equation for this one.

MY book STILL hasnt arrived yet, priority mail and im a little mad. I ordered it on thursday and it's coming form idaho, to montana! one state over!! I gotta question for ya jay, when you eat a lot of food on the NHE bodybuilders plan, can you go over 60 grams of carbs, or does it need to be a lot more meat and oils? Do you eat wlnuts or pecans while on this diet? I miss them. I havent had any in two weeks.

Dude... if you've been through the metabolic shift... Hit those walnuts! They are actually a staple in my diet. For a whole cup of em' it's only like 8 grams of carbs.
On the bodybuilders plan, Faigin actually has you eating 30 grams or under per day. This is due to the high amount of fat you are consuming. I believe, in this situation, he really wants to minimize insulin being around in the presence of rather copious amounts of fat. I will probably be eating 1/2 cup of walnuts at each meal (six meals) + a lot of protein and veggies. Sorry to hear the book hasnt arrived yet; I'd be ****ed too! (As a side note - I believe go upto the 60 gram limit would be fine on the BB version of the plan. However, for me, it's easier to stay on the lower side of the spectrum. If I start cutting myself slack I tend to indulge a bit too much) -Jay |
