Paging through the WOD archives for a Thursday AM workout, I noticed that both of the [Overhead Squat 21 reps/ Run 400m] workouts have you OH Squatting to a 10' box. Is there any particular reason to OH Squat to the box, rather than *** to the grass, in these lifts? I couldn't find a similar height recommendation in any other OH Squat WODs.

Ross, just a guess but box squatting breaks the kinetic chain, no stretch reflex. You deload the muscles and then have to reload to blast off. it also teaches you to sit back. Hard enough with back squats, kind of sucks with OH squats. See westside bb site for more infor on box squatting or google Dave Tate.
