Cable Pull Through

Not an official Crossfit exercise, but Stuart McGill is a fan of this posterior chain move. I'm just curious about what kind of weight/repetitions people do this for? Can't seem to find any mentions of weight on the net. The cable stacks at my gym don't seem to have enough resistance, and I'm not *that* strong, so I'm wondering if I'm doing it wrong or if it requires a huge amount of weight. Would like to avoid the version with a sled, for logistical reasons.

Re: Cable Pull Through

If this is the same exercise...

Louie Simmons from Westside promoted this movement years ago, before Pavel brought the KB back in vogue.

I hit it in high reps of 15-20, great assistance exercise, similar to the KB swing.

Would stack extra plates on the pin of the stack.

Hope this helps.

In Strength,
Jerry

Re: Cable Pull Through

Yes, the Louie Simmons one is the same movement I'm talking about. Thanks!
