Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

Very nice indeed!

I'm also coming close of the 1000 lbs CFT, right now I'm at:

DL: 217.5 kg
BS: 150 kg
SP: 75 kg

Total of 442.5 kg, so that's 975.5 lbs. Smallest plates at the gym I go to are 1.25 kg, so without loading asymmetrical I've got 12.5 kg to go for 1000+ lbs CFT. Hopefully I'll achieve that in about a month from now.

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

After hitting a new PR deadlift last week (500lbs), I decided to re-test. I havent tested any 1RM's lately after 2-3 months of Wendler 5-3-1. I had some strong indications in my 3-5 reps sets that I was stronger with no doubt.

Previous Totals
May 2011 -- 975lbs (1st year of CF)
Most recent was Feb 2012 @ 1010lbs.

I suffered from pre-existing & new injuries throughout 2012 and my training stagnated. I feel that I am now 100% and back to business with some new totals.

5'10, 197lbs, 34 years old

505 DL
395 Squat
205 Press

1105lbs

I have a squat & deadlift competition this saturday here at our deployed location, I think both the Squat & DL will come some by 5-10lbs due to rest cycle. Im really HUNGRY for a 400+ lb squat. I knew the 500 DL or 400 squat would come soon. The Total was unplanned.

That's a monster press at your body weight, Garrett.

The CrossFit Total does have a few rules, though. All of the lifts are done in one session. After your warm ups, you are allowed up to 3 attempts at heavy singles for each lift. The "Total" is the sum of the heaviest successful attempt you make of the three different lifts, and the lifts are done in this order:
Squat
Shoulder press
Deadlift

I would love to see that! 111kg strict press from a 79kg athlete... Wow

I'd also like to say I'm on my way to the American Open as a 77kg lifter this year. I jerk around 350 also, Crossfit is an auxiallary sport for me.

Cool, Garrett.
A 160 kg C&J is beastmode for sure.

I just tried looking up your name/rank on the USAW lifters site for 77kg men and couldn't find you. Granted, I only went through the top 100, and those folks all had a Total over 235kg or better. there is a Garrett Janda ranked 138, but he only has a 98/128 226kg Total.

Provided your snatch is commensurate with your C&J - perhaps 115-120kg? - that would give you a Total around 280kg and you'd be top 20, and maybe even top 15, in the nation.

What meets have you competed in so far?

edit -
nevermind.... just found you:

Yeah, that was a rough day as I like to look at it. I have started posting my workout log on here, none of which is fudged. My jerk is also much stronger than my clean. My next meet I want a 99/152
