Burgener Bar?

Does anyone have any information on the new Burgener bar from Rogue? How is the spin? The knurling? The diameter? Price point? I am anxiously awaiting its release (21 Nov, I think). Thanks.

Re: Burgener Bar?

What bar are you talking about exactly, the Burgener & Rippetoe bar or another one?

Re: Burgener Bar?

Pat:

I think you are referencing the new Burgener Bearing Bar:

1) 4 Snap Rings/Sleeve & 5 German Needle Bearings/Sleeve

2) 185K Tensile Strength Steel

3) 28MM - Bright Zinc shaft & sleeve

4) Guaranteed for Life Against Bending

5) Olympic Knurl & no center knurl

6) Retail - $495

We are running late on getting as we are hammering out the packaging and a few other minor details. The bar has been tested, there is a skunk works version at Coach B's gym now.

We hope to make it available in early December, sorry for the delay.

Thanks,

Bill

Re: Burgener Bar?

Thanks Bill,

This was the bar I am talking about. It sounds like it will be in the same league as the Pendlay bearing class.

Re: Burgener Bar?

Pat,

I have one of these sweet babies in my possession and plan on lifting on it extensively this weekend. I will give a little write up on what I think about it soon, so far it looks and feels pretty BA...
