Learning the Snatch

Hi,

Just starting to learn the Snatch, any coaching or feedback is appreciated!

Early arm bend and the bar never touches the thighs. Essentially you are starting the second pull about 12 inches too soon. Be more patient off the ground. Get the bar into position for the second pull -- bar in contact with mid thigh, body in a jump-style ready position. THEN accelerate the bar.

if you just extend your knees back, then when the bar reaches mid thigh, then begin pull/extend with your back/hips you'll be set!
