For those of you who haven't tried the olympic lifts with a decent bar, you have to treat yourself. I just got a BFS Pro Elite bar and bumper plates. Of course the first thing I did was load two 25# and crank off some cleans, Holy *&%$#! It felt like I was cleaning 65# not 95#. Guess it helps using decent equipment not a 10 year old cheepo "olympic" bar with rusty iron plates!

And safer. With bumper plates there's much less reluctance to simply dump a bad lift.

If you call "lifters" of seattle ( 425 information area code) thye can get good quality o-lifting gear delivered to your door for cheap.
