80k x 1

Not done these enough lately, felt wobbly on 70k upwards.

For time:
Run 1000m
3 rounds:
20 Pull Ups
20 Swings 32k
20 Push Ups
Run 1000m check out - 19.06

Horrible workout and those runs are actually 1100m!! , first pull ups unbroken, after that it was just bits and bits of everything.

Seems more rough than on paper!

The swing pull up combo is not my speciality, I made it sound rougher

Re: A Bears Tale

19 August 2012

Epic Sunday today, legs are currently dead.

DT

5 rounds for time:

12 Deadlifts 70k
9 Hang Power Clean 70k
7 Push Jerks 70k - 7.47 PR

Old pr was 8.35 so real happy with that. Hang Power Cleans were hard on the grip, even with the hook. First round unbroken, 2nd in 2 blocks, the rest in 3 sets.

For 27 minutes Run 400m every 3 minutes:

1:21
1:17
1:21
1:19
1:25
1:27
1:18
1:26
1:23

That was horrific, after 4 I was in pieces, just had to re-focus each time and go for it. Sam made me race every one.

That was taken from Mikko Salo's, although he runs 12 x 400m with a minute rest between, lot of sore legs at the gym today from that.

Re: A Bears Tale

20 August 2012

Front Squats

60k x 5
80k x 5
90k x 5
100k x 5
110k x 4

Not quite at pr weights with front squats last few months, need to have a weigh in to see if I am light.

15 minute amrap:

6 Clean & Jerks 32k KB
8 Pull Ups
10 box Jumps 24" - 8 rounds 2 reps

Poor on this, KB smashed me up, the 32k always is hard with clean and jerks, lowering was harsh also.

Re: A Bears Tale

Dang nice work Scott. I know it wasn't pr weight( what is your PR for 5 reps? ) but it is a great weight. You just got me on it, 4 reps for me too. But lighter.

Also great work on the metcon, I suffered, still weak from being sick, had no gas. So you did great.

Amazing consistency, Scott. 400m repeats for 4 rounds are brutal. I can never keep my time together. To have only 10 seconds variance among 9 rounds at that pace is super impressive.
