Thank you Silver Surfer. Great article and I could not help but nod repeatedly section after section. Good observations and very well written. He sure likes Mark Twain.

Great quotes from Mark Twain.

Here's one for ya from another unique individual,
"The future ain't what it used to be."

The man who doesn't read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them.

My current favorite Mark Twain quote:
"I haven't any right to criticise books, and I don't do it except when I hate them. I often want to criticise Jane Austen, but her books madden me so that I can't conceal my frenzy from the reader; and therefore I have to stop every time I begin. Everytime I read 'Pride and Prejudice' I want to dig her up and beat her over the skull with her own shin-bone."

A pure unadulterated hatred of Jane Austen. I find this aspect of Twain very amusing.

Andy, I am with Twain on that one, but I would add the Bronte's as well.

This brings to mind a great presentation I saw by a CHP trooper. He was at a party and a physician asked him what he did for a living. After discovering he was a police officer the physician went on a diatribe about the latest police shooting incident. The CHP looked at the physician and repeated the following (or something to this effect): “In the United States medical error is estimated to result in 44,000 to 98,000 unnecessary deaths and 1,000,000 excess injuries each year. How many innocent people do you think the police killed this year?" The doctor shut up, turned around, and walked away...classic.

Steve Pavlina is to Personal Development what CrossFit+RKC are to fitness.

I've been reading his articles and listening to his podcasts for months now and he just keeps getting better and better.
