Rage products

I am slowly adding to my garage gym and was wondering the overall feel towards Rage Fitness products? Is it a good product? How does it compare to rogue/againfaster/pendlay etc. I'm asking because I know Dicks Sporting Goods has begun carrying this brand and its alot more convenient to be able to go to the store instead of waiting for them to ship. I have 45lb bumpers and like them alot (they are the only bumpers i've ever used).

Specifically how do you feel about the bumpers/barbells/squat racks?

Re: Rage products

I don't really have much experience with them. I did spend some time talking to their booth and rep a few years ago when they were at the CFGames 2009.

I do know their parent company, Gibson Athletic, is a well known name in the Gymnastic world. I have seen and used their equipment for years.

That being said, I thought their rings were expensive then and they still seem so (but they do seem less expensive than they did then).

Re: Rage products

Bands are way overpriced and not as good as bands you can get from Elite or Westside.

Bumpers looked OK. I have not purchased them but they don't seem as sturdy as the Rogue HGs. But if you are using them at home, you might be fine.

I bought the rage velcro collars and what is nice is that they can fit any bar. Some of my specialty bars don't exactly fit the rogue lockjaws that I otherwise love.

Re: Rage products

only product of theirs that i have personally used is the Med Ball and i love it. Both the boxes in my area that i frequent use them and i have one at home as well, all have held up great and are still balanced.

Re: Rage products

I was checking out the slam balls in Sports Authority and thought they felt pretty good, I am probably going to pick one or two up this weekend.

Re: Rage products

thanks for the help I actually just purchased a set of 25# bumpers last night. They seem good enough for my home gym. Any other thoughts still welcomed as always
