Stem Footwear

Anyone try these for CrossFit?

http://www.stemfootwear.com/ (WFS)

I'm interested as they look less silly than Vibrams.

Question Re: Stem Footwear

Reviews please! Do they fit wide feet? If so I'm buying some!

From the photos, it looks like they are rather wide.

I just ordered a pair. I'll let you know how they work out.

Also, looks like you can email the company directly and maybe ask that question.

Re: Stem Footwear

Just got mine today. These are pretty cool. Super light. I did some air squats after putting them on. I felt in the correct position compared to normal running shoes. They are very wide at the toes, which is a good thing for me. Price point is a bit high.

Can't wait to do some back squats tomorrow!

How are they holding up? Machine washable? I want some if this is the real deal.

Re: Stem Footwear

They are holding up pretty awesome. I haven't washed them yet but the site says they are machine washable.

I've never had minimalist shoes so it's a bit to get a used to.

I think they're great for crossfit. So light.

My only complaints and not really complaints, they are a bit slick on the globo gym track but that surface is slick. On a true lifting surface they are fine so no worries there. And be careful dropping off a pull up bar not much padding like a running shoe so I got a bit of a heel stinger.
